Chocovanilla cake
Ingredients
All purpose flour 1 & 1/4 cup
Baking powder 2 tsp
Eggs 4
Sugar 3/4 cup
oil 3/4 cup
milk 1/4 cup
Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
For preparing chocolate batter
Mix 2 tbsp cocoa powder + 2 tbsp sugar + 2 tbsp milk .
Method
- Preheat the oven to 160° C.
- Grease the pan and dust flour or line it with parchment paper.
- Beat eggs for 5-6 minutes and add powdered sugar .
- Beat this for 7-8 minutes until it doubles up in volume and color changes to pale yellow.
- Add vanilla essence .
- Add oil gradually and mix well.
- Sieve flour and baking powder together.
- Add this to egg mixture and mix gently.
- Add milk to the batter and mix.
- Remove one cup batter and add cocoa mixture to it and mix gently.
- Pour half of vanilla batter , pour cocoa batter over it and cover with remaining half of vanilla batter .
- Bake in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes.
