It just takes six to seven minutes in microwave to prepare mawa and only two ingredients are required.... How simple is that ....
Put one cup of milk powder in a microwave safe bowl and add 200 ml cream Mix well . Microwave it for 2 minutes and then take it out ... mix n microwave again for two minutes ... Mix and microwave again for one minute ... Crumbly mawa is ready ..
Ingredients
All purpose flour 1 &1/4 cup
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Sugar 1 cup
Mawa 100 gm
Eggs 2
Milk 1/3 cup
Butter 75 gm
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Temperature 180°C
Baking time 50-55 minutes
9" loaf tin or 6" round tin
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Grease a tin and line it with parchment paper.
- Sieve all purpose flour, cardamom powder and baking powder.
- Beat butter , mawa and sugar for at least 5 minutes to get fluffy white batter.
- Add one egg at a time and beat well after each addition on medium speed.
- Add vanilla essence.
- Add sieved dry ingredients and milk alternately in batches .
- You can sprinkle almonds or any nuts of your choice..
- Mix well and bake in preheated oven at 180°C for 50-55 min.
- Let it cool down completely before slicing.
- Flavors are more intense next day.
