Eggless apple walnut streusel cake
Ingredients
All purpose flour 1 & 1/2 cup
Sugar 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp
Banana 1
Apple (finely chopped) 1 cup
Baking powder 2 tsp
Cinnamon powder 1 tsp
Oil 1/3 cup
Milk 2/3 cup
Salted caramel (optional) 3 tbsp
For streusel topping
Oats 2 tbsp
Walnuts, chopped 3 tbsp
Brown sugar 5 tbsp
Almond powder 1/8 cup
All purpose flour 1/8 cup
Melted butter 3 tbsp
Mix everything together and keep it refrigerated for further use.
Method
- Sieve flour, baking powder and cinnamon powder 3-4 times .
- Preheat the oven to 170° C.
- Prepare 6" inch tin by greasing and lining it with parchment paper.
- Mash banana and add oil and milk to it . Mix well using hand whisk.
- Add sugar and other dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix gently .
- Fold in chopped apple and salted caramel , pour the batter in prepared tin.
- Sprinkle the streusel topping uniformly over the batter .
- Bake in preheated oven for 45- 50 minutes or until done.
