Garlic bread

My first successful trial of cylindrical bread  is here.....Cylindrical bread !!!

This one is  garlic flavored  with spirals of  kolhapuri jhatka  chutney. I loved  baking  these cylindrical loaves and would continue doing so.... I was looking for this tin and Anshu , my baking friend, came to rescue.
I received the tin within a week and my madness in kitchen started off... Baking accessories  bring sparkle in my eyes ... I  love shopping and I love baking too.

  • Mix it to make a slurry.
  • Keep on adding remaining  flour mix gradually.
  • Gather it together and start kneading the dough.
  • Add half of the infused oil and knead it.
  • After 7-8 minutes of kneading,  the dough will become smooth and elastic.
  • Keep it covered in a greased bowl for first proofing.
  • Once it is doubled, punch it gently to remove air pockets.
  • Start rolling it into a rectangle and spread the chutney.

  • Shape it into a log by rolling it from one end.
  • Seam the edges.
  • Place it in the greased tin .
  •  brush the remaining infused oil on top.
  • Cover it and leave aside for 20- 30 minutes (second proofing).
  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Bake in preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
  • Once done, brush some melted butter on loaf and allow it to cool.
  • Wrap it in cling wrap and refrigerate  for 2-3 hours.
  • Slice as thin as you want ...
For making cheesy garlic discs:

  • Brush butter on each side of disc.
  •  Spread  mayo on each disc and sprinkle grated cheese .
  • Sprinkle your favorite pizza seasoning or garlic bread seasoning.
  • Bake for 4-5 minutes in a preheated oven at 200° C.

Thanks for the lovely recipe. If I want to make it in a regular loaf tin what should be the size of the tin with the same ingredient measurement.

Thank you so much 😊
You can use 7*4*4 inch tin ... Or a normal 8" cake tin would work perfect.
